Title: Springtime

This is a special time of the year
Things change right before your eyes
The colors become so vivid
The clouds open up from the skies

The sun it shines more often
And the cool air starts to warm
The animals become more active
And the mountains change there form

Spring has so much to offer you
The streams are crystal clear
The melting snow feeds all of life
And brings nature also near

The grass it looks much greener
The trees they sway so free
You can hear the sounds of everything
From a waterfall to a buzzing bee

The smell of spring is amazing
There’s so many smells to enjoy
Just take a deep breath and soak it all in
There's no need for you to be coy

Be thankful for what we're given
And the special time of spring
So if we listen carefully
We can hear Mother Nature sing

Title: No One Walked Away

Looking searching for the stairs
Air is bad can't breathe in here
Fires spreading everywhere
Help is coming did you hear

Some going down some coming up
Some will make it some out of luck
Hurry, hurry lets get them out
You can hear the heroes shout

Which way to go is their plight
The radios not working right
Then an awful sound is heard
Now, dead silence not a word

The beeping sounds of their alarm
That eerie sound still lingers on
Lives forever changed in a day
And no one really walked away

A burning memory in our mind
Of all the people left behind

Hush my children dry your tears
When they died they had no fears
The cowards found no paradise
The wrath of God is concise

They are at peace and at rest
God only takes the very best

Title: From Within

I purged you from within me
How am I to understand what you fail to explain?
Broken focus and hatred with no gain,
I have changed and neither are you the same.
When I smile it is not directed at you,
For you only cause me pain,
Yes, this face without a name, playing this blame game.
Our tongues we must tame in this world of shame
Using other names to cover our pain
sitting conceitful in vain.
Waiting for the next man to save us,
Save us from ourselves.
But, can we be saved from our childhood
pain and issues that we think about everyday?
The abuse and judgment that we put ourselves
through everyday.....then who pays?
The child within me tries to be free
The child within me cries to be free...
This child I speak of only I can see
This child I speak of is within me.

Title: Ivo

Was I asleep when I found myself in this place near the coast,
It was Ivo a true desert to the word in hot days and freezing nights,
During our long walks from Daegu I thrice told Tito it was a living hell,

But blasphemy aside the true beauty of a day is seen in the morning,
Under the sycamore tree birds chirped endlessly to me up high,
The music was sweet as lights dimmed on my lips I waved them goodbye,
The craft was smooth and the greedy snake fell as he tried to get the eggs at the edge,

As he wriggled to get free he met my timely heel and I fell,
I did not need drugs to feel by the riverside as a fountain burst in my heart,
Was it a pill since atoms collided and neutrinos slowed to touching speed,

Oh, Oh, Oh, It was too much and I joined in the rhythm of life,
Wave after wave it hit me and soon I knew what Ivo had in mind,
So the new dark ones crawl inside and outside they make snarky remarks,
They will either regret or see the light of the glorious hills of God in Ivo,
Only if and only if but only if, yes only if I let it be.

Title: Boston And The Red Sox Are Forever Strong

Be reminded what happened on that April spring day
Our thoughts and prayers for those hurt and who passed away
Six long months have passed
Together we celebrate, champions at last
Our joy and excitement fill our hearts
Nations new member Xander Bogarts
And to the rest of the bearded bunch
No one believed this team could pack such a punch
Destiny again we would not fail
These Boston Red Sox did prevail
Home is where they wanted to win it
Everyone knew this team was legit
Red Sox are champions of baseball
Every child’s dream in the fall
David Ortiz and his gang rose to the task
So we celebrate with them as we raise our flask
One two three strikes your out at the game
Xtra long hours is the price of fame
As we marvel at what they have done
Red Sox nation includes everyone
Early expectations for them were not great
Farrell had them ready at the gate
Our team did not disappoint us at all
Red Sox are champions this fall
Expect the unexpected we sometimes say
Victorino and crew won it at Fenway
Everyone knows we are a baseball town
Remember what happened in watertown
Six months of healing, now jubilation
Together we celebrate Red Sox nation
Red Sox are Champions again this year
One and all we can all cheer
No one doubts us even on that obstruction play
Good old Red Sox , Champions of Fenway
